Eligibility

Applicants must contact the U of A department and express interest in the Banting Fellowship as soon as possible.
The department and the U of A Banting Committees will perform a preliminary assessment of qualified applicants; based on these preliminary assessments, eligible candidates will then be invited to complete the tri-agency’s full online Banting application and submit supporting documents. Only invited applicants are required to complete the online application.
Invited applicants will be responsible for submission of complete application via ResearchNet by the November 1, 2013 deadline. Referees' letters must also be submitted directly to ResearchNet by referees by this date.
Applications will be considered at the national Banting adjudication with results for the 2013 competition expected in March 2014.
